I Like Reading English Books

Tuesdays with Morrie, Holes, Charlotte’s Web, Matilda, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and Harry Potter 1, 2, 3. Those are a list of what I read for last one month and I’ve also ordered ‘The Giver’ and ‘Me Before You’ today. Tell the truth, I really like reading books. When I was young, my father was a voracious reader. It was natural that I read something early ages because there were many books instead of toys hanging around my room. Reading is my favorite hobby of whole my life naturally and I normally read more than 100 books every year. Although I read every kind of books such as economy books, history books, novels and even poems, I’ve never tried reading books written in English before. I considered it must be very hard to read and there is no way I can apprehend the contents well. There was a turning point which let me change my some kind of prejudice of reading English books. As reading the book ‘Tuesdays with Morrie’ by chance, I’ve noticed that reading English books are much more interesting than I thought and it’s not as difficult as I was scared of as well. Of course I know that most of them I read are suitable for teenagers and written with easy words. I feel both, a bad and a good, same time, lack of vocabulary and improvements by reading gradually. I hope someday I won’t hesitate to choose English books even though those are not for children, but for adults.

공개적으로 글을 남기기에는, 제 영어작문이 터무니없이 부족하다는 것을 누구보다도 잘 알고 있습니다. 하지만 용기를 내보았습니다. 저의 부족함을 회피하기보다 직면하고 싶었습니다. 종종 인터넷 공간위에 씌여진 다른 이들의 영어 작문을 보면서 감탄하기도 하였고, 때로는 그 자신감과 당당함을 부러워하기도 하였습니다. 이제는 제가 그 무언의 시선을 받고 조금씩 나아갈 차례라 생각됩니다. 뭔가 거창하네요. 그치만, 시작은 좀 거창해도 괜찮지않을까요? :)
